mTicket Purchasing Made Easy by mBlox, Raileasy and CDT
"The Raileasy app was designed with the user in mind. The result is an easy to use and secure app with comprehensive functionality that lets traveller buy tickets wherever they have a mobile signal." Raileasy Managing Director, George Sikking.
The application is free to download from the Raileasy website, and allows tickets to be bought via a registered credit card. To ensure consumers only pay the price of the ticket and do not incur any data download charges to their mobiles, Raileasy is absorbing the data costs for their travellers by using mBlox's unique Sender-Pays Data service, eliminating the data charges that vary depending on each consumer's data plan.
Purchasing tickets using the Raileasy app is secure, protected by embedding credit card details in the phone, to be accessed only by using a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and card security numbers. The technology has been future-proofed with the ability to produce barcodes which will activate appropriate station gates removing the need for travel tickets altogether. The solution is also designed to facilitate NFC mobile tickets as capable handsets come to the market, replacing the need to carry a smartcard such as Oyster and Octopus.
